Build a culture
Patricia Carol Morgan had protested Vietnam, spoken out for gay rights, and acted in supported of the pro-choice movement; she is now one with the Occupy collective and appalled at the corporate influence in governmental decisions.
She described the circumstances of her present life with tears in her eyes.“I’ve done everything all my life that society has told me to do: I’ve gone to church, I’ve made straight A’s in school, I have a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from USF,” Morgan said. “I also went back to school to retrain, and I have a nursing degree from St. Pete College. I have a hundred-dollar-a-month student loan payment, and still can’t find a job.”
She feels as though her power has been usurped by the wealthy and domineering, but remains vocal and active. “I have nothing left to fight with except my body, my voice, my vote,” she said.
